"I found the Glass Academy and the Gathering Point after searching YouTube for glass fusing information. I started watching on Tuesdays in the fall of 2023. I love to watch live but will watch afterwards if I cannot watch live. I joined the Star Supporters program when it first started… I felt like this was a way that I could support a small business. It is less than a cup of coffee to share 2 hours a week with people I feel like I know in person. Sooner or later I will be traveling out to Michigan to see everyone in person.
I love getting my quarterly treats (who doesn't love getting presents in the mail!). I have taken the murrini that I got and added it to a fused piece that I made and the piece is hanging in my kitchen. I also must admit that after watching the show, getting the nearly instant gratification of being able to see the annealer reveal is awesome. I look forward to the email at the end of the week and watch it as soon as I get home from work.
Living in a small space prevents me from being able to indulge and own many pieces. Because of this, I especially love the Signature Pumpkinettes and Signature Candy Canes as they fit the space (for now–until I get a few more!). They are so special as after that year, no one else will be able to have the same color and style. I leave my pumpkinette out all year round with the Van Gogh Acorn giveaway that I won."

"I started watching Glass Academy lives late 2020 or early 2021. I was watching Sticky Australia. I tuned in when Sticky made their fish and said they were competing with the Glass Academy in Dearborn Michigan.
I’ve been watching since then. My most favourite live stream is when Jacob created my Orange and Granny Green Slug incense burners.
I haven’t missed the show since. I first became a member when it was $4.99, and still I’m only a Star Supporter. Trust me, if I could afford more, I would be at the top.
I won the giveaway of the ice cream bowl that Chris made on show number 210. I got my friend across the street to drive [with me] from Sarnia to Dearborn to go pick it up. The shop was wonderful, I got to meet Michelle, Chris, and Oliver [who] even took me on a tour of the hot shop. Of course I couldn’t just take home my free giveaway. I bought an orange Pocket Vase, a Mushroom, and a Slug Pin. Jacob was out of town so I never got to meet him. Someday I will.
I love my Tuesday night date with the Glass Academy. It’s like being with family and conversing with all the girls and guys online.
I love getting my handwritten letters from Lizzie for the surveys. The newsletters are great from Michelle and Lizzie. And of course, membership has its perks. I get to see all the glass made on Tuesday’s live show on Thursday. Our quarterly surprises are wonderful. I guess I could go on and on, but I’d better cut it off now. I love you guys. Do I have to be a member to shop or take classes at the Glass Academy?
No! You can shop with us in person or online any time.
Do I have to live in the Detroit area to be a member?
No! We have members from many different states, and some from different countries.
How do I cancel my membership?
Not for you? No worries! If you are not satisfied with your membership, need a break, or want out for any reason, you can cancel at any time. If paid, the remainder of the current payment period will be refunded.
If you are struggling to cancel, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team who will take care of it for you!
We have lovely members who come and go with the seasons of their lives. Membership will be waiting for you if and when you feel like returning.
